Maifest Queen Crowned at Hofbräuhaus!

As our German community continued its Manifest celebration, on May 5, 2018 the Queen was crowned at Hofbräuhaus! Katrina Schubert of Woodstock, Illinois is the 2o018 Queen and to celebrate the crowning there was a parade that featured many dignitaries from the Germany community of Chicago.

Katrina was crowned by Hofbräuhaus Chicago's President and CEO, Joe Matuschka and was presented with bouquets of flowers and music to celebrate the occasion. Katrina's responsibilities include reigning over all Maifest activities sponsored by the various German institutions and organizations in the Chicago area.

This seasonal celebration in Chicago comes to an official close with the official Chicago Maifest at Lincoln Square May 31 - June 3, 2018. Joe Matuschka is the founder and President of Chicago's Maifest and Hofbräuhaus is an official sponsor.
