Fröehliche Weihnachten und Prosit Neujahr – Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Yes, it’s that time of year. This blog post takes us through the end of the calendar year, and it is such an amazing time at Hofbräuhaus Chicago. Oktoberfest is over and the tent has been put away for another year, however the Oktoberfest Gemütlicheit goes all-year long in our haus!
The day after Thanksgiving is the official start of the Christmas season in Rosemont as the big tree in our adjacent Entertainment Park is lit and the ice skating rink is open. When you come to our haus this time of year you will be amazed with the beauty and colors. You will feel the “Weihnachten” spirit as you enter. Decorations, lights, wreaths, ferns, and other special treatments help you to feel the German Christmas spirit. You do not want to miss experiencing our haus at this time of year.
After Christmas we stay in the holiday mood with one of the great New Year’s Eve venues in all of Chicago. Have you ever wondered what New Year’s Eve, or “Prosit Neujahr” is like in Germany? Well come to our haus on this night and you’ll find out. What a party – and we celebrate it twice! At 5 PM it turns midnight in Germany and we celebrate Prosit Neujahr at the same time. This is a great opportunity to be here with children to experience our authentic German New Year’s Eve.
Then 7 hours later we do it again when the clock strikes 12 and our New Year begins. We coordinate our festivities with the fireworks in the park at midnight. There are no special expensive New Year’s Eve packages to purchase. We run our normal outstanding menu and it becomes a fun place to ring in the New Year. We give you an affordable, relaxing New Year’s Eve option, and you can dress for comfort if you wish. Our band will be a blockbuster and you will be singing and dancing all night long.
Thank you for coming out and celebrating the Weihnachten Season at Hofbräuhaus Chicago. And get your New Year’s Eve groups organized and make your reservation before the prime seats fill up. Fröehliche Weihnachten und Prosit Neujahr!
